Chelsea Potter
Chelsea Russell Potter has been involved in competitive baton twirling for over 29 years and has coached the sport since the age of 15. A former 7-time World Champion Gold Medalist, 5-time Grand National Twirling Champion, and 4-time Miss Majorette of America, Chelsea acted as the University of Iowa “Golden Girl” Feature Twirler with the Hawkeye Marching Band from 2007-2011. She is currently the Twirling Advisor and Coach of the UB Feature Twirlers with the “Thunder of the East” Marching Band. Chelsea’s baton twirling students have amassed numerous State, Regional, National, and World titles through the years. In addition to teaching locally, Chelsea has been invited to perform and teach for twirling teams across the United States and Canada, as well as abroad in Belgium, England, France, Japan, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. Chelsea presently serves as a registered National Baton Twirling Association judge and is a member of the International Baton Twirling Federation Communications Team.
Residing in Buffalo, New York, Chelsea is a high school English Teacher at Williamsville South High School. Chelsea is also the WSHS Drama Club Co-Advisor, Fall Play Director, Musical Co-Choreographer, and the founder and coach of the South Dance Line. She is proud to be in her eighth year of teaching at Step In Time Studio of Dance, where she loves the culture of positivity, determination, and sparkles!
